Assessments

Youth who engage in risky sexual behaviors, self-harm, or experience suicidal ideation often do so in the context of complex emotion, developmental, and environmental stressors.  These maladaptive behaviors are often signals of underlying distress, trauma, mental health conditions, and difficulty managing impulses.  Accurate assessment is critical to understanding risk, ensuring safety, and identifying interventions to support youth and their families.

I have expertise in the assessment and treatment of youth presenting with risky sexual behaviors, self-harm, and suicidality.  My evaluations are developmentally informed and provide evidence-based interventions tailored to the youth's needs.  I enjoy collaborating with families and systems with the goal of reducing risk, strengthening protective factors, and supporting long-term emotional and behavioral well-being.
