Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a therapeutic technique that’s often used to help individuals process and heal from trauma. It involves identifying a brainspot, which is an eye position associated with the activation of a traumatic memory. Through the guidance of a trained therapist, individuals focus their gaze on this spot while processing their emotions and experiences, which can lead to emotional processing and resolution. It is a form of therapy that aims to help individuals access and process deep-seated emotions and trauma.
Therapists should have specialized training in Brainspotting. I have been intensively trained in this approach.
